Midway through Week 3
Our 10-week challengers are in the middle of their 3rd week! I wanted to share some of their positive strides they have made.
First off, this is an ONLINE training and nutrition challenge group. There is no meeting at a gym or a location as a group. Everyone has their own workout designed for their needs and for where they will use it (either a gym setting or at home). Everyone has their own nutrition plan that is created just for them. Fine details towards their likes, preferences, how much energy they expend during the day, and proteins/carbs/fats are set towards their needs. They all follow both plans on a mobile app, which is great because it goes wherever they go. Should they take a quick weekend trip, everything is right there for them, no excuses. Second, everything they do within the app is monitored and tracked. I can see everything they do and eat. I then give tips and advice on their progress. They also have a group chat section in which they can talk to other challengers. Motivation is high, positivity is high, the support they have for each other is high. AND MOST OF THEM DO NOT EVEN KNOW ONE ANOTHER. There is a great sense of empowerment within the team of challengers. Each week they are given a discussion topic to either discuss within the group or privately with me. So far, we have been digging deep into the intricacies of our lives and thoughts of why we feel stressed, overwhelmed, out of control and how can we get a better handle on this to lead more fulfilling lives. At the end of each week they may be assigned homework that revolves around working through some of the items that were discussed. Each week every individual meal plan is checked for completion of tracking, did they meet their macros, is anyone having difficulty and where. (again, this is all done online) They are each individually messaged with an overview on how they did for that week and what things they could improve on for the next week.
This group of 10 ladies and men are killing it! They make me laugh, they bring tears to my eyes when I read heart felt struggles that they courageously opened up and shared with the entire group. They make me proud of their achievements and efforts each day, and mostly they make me remember why I love helping others and inspiring others that they are worth so much more than they believe.
Again, this is all online, all created and customized by me for their needs.
As a wellness/health and fitness professional, here are a few things to think about before you sign up for just “any” health/wellness program.
When you are looking for that “program” that fits your needs, when you are questioning the “free one-week plan”, when you’re trying to decided what is “right for you”. Ask yourself a few questions.
- Why is this free or highly discounted?
- Is there a catch?
- Does the trainer or wellness professional have my individual needs and goals at heart?
- Is this plan copy and pasted or am I getting an original that was created just for my needs?
- Is this person selling a product to make money or are the selling their knowledge to help others?
- How many years’ experience does this person have in the area that they are promoting?
Once you have answered these questions honestly, then make your decision. Ultimately, what you decide to do consistently every day will work. If you do not put in the effort you will not yield the desired result.
To my current Keep It Simple 10 Week Challengers, YOU ARE AWESOME! YOU ARE ENOUGH! I am so honored that you choose wisely, and thus are getting so much more out of your plans than muscles and weight loss. DO THE WORK!
After 2 full weeks this amazing group has lost 45 pounds and 48 inches! They have also gained a clearer perspective on how they go about day to day struggles, and they have opened up the door to improved mental health. 7 ½ weeks to go! I am so excited to see the new you, the happier you, the stronger you, the more confident you!
Thank you!
DO THE WORK!
